Just call me Meathead

Ohoh! I forgot! So, I'm talking to my mom on the phone the other day and I happen to mention our Russian heritage. And through much confusion and zaniness, we suddenly discover that I am totally confused. I have always identified myself as Mennonite, which I am. If people don't know what a Mennonite is, I have a short speech that I use to explain, also indicating that my grandparents and on back, were from a German speaking area of Russia. I even wrote a paper two years ago in University (with my parents help) about my pride in being Russian etc. it turns out, only two generations of my peeps lived in Russia. I'm actually part Dutch, part all sorts of Eastern European and primarily...Polish! I had no idea. Its so weird, thinking for 33 years that you are predominantly Russian, and then finding out instead that you are predominantly Polish. So, I'm a Pole (?) now?

Weird.

How many Mennonites does it take to learn they're Polish?

34. One to be told they're Polish, one the hold the lightbulb, and the other 32 to spin the house.

Anyone? Anyone? Is this thing on?

I was -just- going to leave a comment about how you're going to be the butt of a bunch of Polish jokes :) Ha ha!
