Possibly best movie ever made.

In University a few years ago, we had to read Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. I am a fairly literate person, but before that I had very wrong ideas about the book. I had never seen any of the movies or read the book and I mistakenly thought that Frankenstein was the monster in the book. I was shocked to discover that he was the monster's creator (or okay, some say he was actually the monster, I wrote a paper about that). I was absolutely struck by the book, it was one of the first really popular books written by a woman, and in my opinion, one of the best books ever written. Frankenstein, along with Jane Eyre (oh, Jane!) led me to my first A in a University class ever.

Now, I'm watching Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, which is the version with Kenneth Branagh as Frankenstein and Robert DeNiro as his creation (also Tom Hulce as his best friend, I LOVE TOM HULCE). It's...spellbinding. So moving, so thought provoking, so well acted...just great. Watch it right now!

So much to do before I can move on/away. Wrote out a list of all the things that I need to sell and went and posted it on the bulletin board in the lobby. Made it very colourful and big so hopefully it will get a lot of attention. Then I wrote up an advertisement for the local online apartment listings to sublet my place. Paid my sublet fee too. Then I wrapped up all the gifts for Shar and Drew and Chris (darn 3 birthdays in one month, people!) and made them cards and stuff. Took out all of the huge quantities of garbage that I am creating these days.

Tomorrow should be a great day. The gang is meeting at Mitzi's (which is supposed to have the best chicken fingers, like ever) for lunch. Then in the evening is the good shit - Survivor, CSI or Night Stalker, whichever I choose to watch, and then ER. And then, as always, I can end my day with a lovely talk with my Pauly.
