Tidbits

Too...something...to post much now, but for those of you who are wondering...

1) My flight and trip in general was very good. Quite a bit of trouble at the border AGAIN but in the end all went well. I even wound up getting bumped to an earlier flight, so I arrived 1 hour and 45 minutes early! AND they gave me the bulkhead seat all to myself so I could stretch my legs to kingdom come.

2) Paul's place was in, erm, bad shape when I got here. But after 8 loads of laundry, 3 runs of the dishwasher, scouring the kitchen, hanging up a few things I brought along etc., it is already looking pretty good again. its really a fantastic apartment, we just need the money and time to make it look good. But its getting there rapidly. Our bedroom walls even have things on them now, so it doesn't echo in there. Yay!

3) Paul and Smeagol and I are all very well. Paul and I are having a bit of a hard time adjusting to our living arrangement, but we are trying to encourage communication and I am confident that we will work out our minor issues. Paul is currently out of work, so we are trying to be really careful with money. But, he has some good prospects coming up, plus a possibility of selling a car that he acquired a while ago, so I'm not too worried about that either. Its actually kind of nice having him out of work, assuming that we don't run out of money until he finds something new. Its fun to spend our days together, even when he's playing WoW and I'm cleaning or watching tv or listing or whatever, we're still -together-. I like it!

4) Mom and Dad2 are trying to convince Paul and I to drive up to Chicago to see the new baby. I want to really badly, and I think Paul does too, but because his cell phone only works in ATL, he is hesitant to go until he knows about a job. But hopefully we will be able to get there. Very little makes me happier than holding babies in my arms.
