Okay Canadians, who wants to do me a favour?

So, I have been craving this recipe that I love to make, it calls for Russian dressing in the sauce. So, I bought the other stuff and then stood at the salad dressing section for a while and couldn't find it. So, I asked and nobody here has ever heard of Russian dressing. Poo!

This is one of about a dozen things that I'm going crazy for a taste of.

Would any of my friends in Canada be willing to send us a box of treaties? We would obviously reimburse you or pay you before the fact if that would be easier. In particular we want snacks, since most regular food is about the same, its just snacks that are so different. Most wanted are

-Old Dutch Chips! Zesty Taco tortilla chips(7 BILLION BAGS), the ones in the orange bag and their counterpart in the red bag, I think they are Nacho cheese. Also Onion And Garlic chips and Ketchup chips. *weeps quietly* (If I got nothing else, i would want the Zesty Taco chips, there is nothing like them here and I'm salivating typing about them)

-Candy bars - Mr Big and Coffee Crisp (my two faves)

-Russian Dressing

I can't think of other things right now, at least ones that will travel okay. Some perogies would be nice, but that obviously wouldn't work. I guess I will have to learn how to make the damn things. I also desperately want my moms baking, but I guess I'll have to live without that too :p Oh what I go through to be with my love! ;)

I've not heard of most of those things, mainly because I'm not in Canada, so I can't HELP! I'm sooo sorry.

Poor girly :) Send me your address!
And ooooo, Tahiti Treat :9 Haven't had that in ages. Are you going to post the recipe that requires Russian dressing?

Re. Russian Dressing...in all honesty, I don't even know what it tastes like. The only reason that I ever buy it is for that recipe, so I can't even begin to experiment with making a version of it, cause all I know is that its red and I dump it into the mixture!

My wife's sister is in the States and we often send care packages down with similar stuff. Did you know, however, that they (the gov't) has made it "wrong" to send chocolate over the border? Can you believe that?! I've heard the chocolate there is different than the chocolate here, and I suppose nary the two should meet.
