I guess the deal is that -I- am so technologically UNadvanced, that to me a notebook is still a bunch of pieces of paper stuck together :)

And re. crickets. I suppose its a bit esoteric, but I was just trying to indicate the silence, broken only by crickets, that would greet my boring entry.
