DAMMIT!
Wow, I really hate hate this new look for the blog. But, first AdSense would not work (it pushed the right sidebar to the bottom below the post) so I left it off and emailed support. And then today, when I looked at the blog, even without AdSense, the sidebar was at the bottom. After MANY hours over the last week, the only way I can fix these problems is to use another template. Believe me, I am aware that this one is ugly and seems to overlap its own lines a bit. But until Blogger gets off their ASSES, this is the best I can do. Ick.

This is one of the reasons I chose not to go with any sort of commercial blogging company, and just spend the $50/year to get a domain where we can make things look exactly as we want. :)
I so absolutely agree. Unfortunately, I am not (yet) knowledgeable enough to make a page from scratch. Not even close. :)
Well, I'm not really either - we downloaded the Serendipty blog program from www.s9y.org, and basically just followed the directions from there. It was pretty simple, as is the configuration - we used one of the downloadable templates for awhile, eventually I figured out how to modify the colors and header image (my knowledge of CSS is zilch, so it was hit and miss for that).
Hmm, that's very interesting. I'm definitely going to look into that. Blogger is wonderful, especially for newbies or for very casual bloggers. But now that I have some idea of how this stuff works, i would like to have a little more freedom. Thanks for the idea :)
