So, yeah, a week from now I'll be a married woman! Its hard to get excited right now because Paul and I barely see each other and we're both so tired for various reasons that we're kind of just drifting along. But, nonetheless we are looking forward to everything very, very much.
My mom and sisters are going to be coming down from Manitoba and Paul's parents and brother will be coming down from Illinois, so that will be very exciting, we don't see any of them enough.
Our itinerary is such- on Wednesday after work we will drop the dogs off at Josh and Gibby's then drive the four hours or so to our destination in TN. Then on Thursday morning we will probably have breakfast with everyone then Paul and I have to go pick up our marriage licence, stop by the restaurant where we are having dinner and then go to the salon and get my hair/makeup/manicure and Paul's manicure too (he hates the idea of a manicure, but I'm a big fan of those pictures of the couples' hands with their new rings on and he works in a body shop so his hands are sort of filthy). The wedding starts at 4 pm and should be only about 20 minutes and then we drive a little way away for a nice dinner.
We will spend four nights in Tennessee and then my family will jet back home and Paul's family and Paul and I will drive up to Tunica, Mississippi. We are goin' gambling! Apparently Tunica is a big casino town although I had never heard of it since I've never gambled before. Any tips? Unfortunately, there have been a lot of commercials on tv lately indicating that Tunica is 'just minutes from Memphis' so, sadly, I will probably spend all of the car trip singing 'Graceland, Graceland, Memphis, Tennesse, I'm goin to Graceland. POOR boys and pilgrims with families and we are going to Graceland!' (Yes, I can sing every lyric to Paul Simon's Graceland album, you wanna make something of it?) We plan to stay in Tunica for two nights and then head back home.
That's about it. I can hardly wait.
