Chicago deep dish pizza, take a walk on the wharf (no, not Worf) downtown. There is some shops there too. Rainforest Cafe is nice, but not limited to Chicago.
Well, let's see, now...could go to the Field Museum, which has a great Egyptian exhibit; Museum of Science and Industry, which every school kid in the Chicago area goes to on a field trip once in their school years; Shedd Aquarium, but the Ripley's one in Gatlinburg could cover the visit to Shedd; Art Institute, if you like looking at paintings by dead people (I think they're all dead). Then you might want to spend half a day in one of the "towns" -- Old Town (if it still exists); New Town; Greek Town; China Town. Or do the shopping thing -- Magnificent Mile, with stores like Bloomingdale's and Needless Markups; Woodfield or Stratford Square. Then there's the outlet malls -- Huntley Prime Outlets, Fox River Outlets in Aurora, Gurnee Mills Outlet Mall in Gurnee. So where does your interest lie? Arts? Shopping? Ethnicities?
Oh Sears Tower is a good idea! And that's right, I forgot that Chicago is right on the lake. Last time I changed planes there I was shocked how we were flying over waterwaterwaterwaterBIG SKYSCRAPERS RIGHT ON THE EDGE OF THE WATER! So neat.
It's nice flying over Milwaukee too (just 1 1/2 hours north) since the Lake is dotted with many many many sailboats. Pretty! They don't call it the "City of Sails" for nuthin!

I would go to every free museum I could. After that just walk around for hours downtown gawking like a hick from the praries.

I'd leave. I don't like Chicago. Something always seems to go wrong whenever I've been there.

I have no idea. You guys all had good ideas....but I doubt I would do a museum, I'm boring.

And you could go to the top of the Sear's Tower, if it isn't a crappy day. Lake Michigan is always nice.
