Pop & Soda Update

So, yeah, all is okay over here. Paul is enjoying being back at the restaurant; there is very little stress and the hours are decent, plus he has fun with his coworkers. The only real problem with the job is that it does not give us as much money as we need, but for now it will do. Paul is already doing manager shifts 4 out of 5 days per week so he is pleased with that.

Last week I went to have my biometrics done (fancy word for fingerprints and photographs) for the immigration people and that was unpleasant, but it seems to have been okay as yesterday I got a letter from them saying that they had transferred my case to another location for 'faster processing'. I looked up the processing dates for that location, though, and they are the same as the location that I had been at, so, I dunno. As it stands right now, there is nothing more that I can do. I wait until they send me a letter with more instructions (if I've made any mistakes) or a letter that gives their decision on my case. So, I'm pretty tired of waiting, but once again it is now out of my hands and I'll just have to sit and wait. The current processing expectation is 22 weeks (with 4 already gone), which seems like a lot, but after all this really isn't so bad.

I'm still trying to sell stuff on eBay but so far we have gotten no bids so I'll have to keep working on that and trying to find some things that are popular enough to sell. In the meantime I packed up another 2 garbage bags of stuff to donate and threw out some things so The Stuff is reduced fairly dramatically. I was redoubling my efforts on this because I had to clean out the spare room so that one of our friends could move in (thereby significantly reducing our money worries) but that is rather a moot point now since that friend lost his job and thus can't move in after all. (GRRRRRR)

Other than that, everything is pretty much the same. I'm stressed about money and numerous things (NUMEROUS things) that can't be solved without money...but such is life. We are healthy-ish and happy-ish and the money will get better eventually. Right? Right?!
