Not too much to report, sadly. I have only a very small window of opportunity every day when I feel well enough to do anything and even then it is only a small pool of energy from which I have to draw - so blogging gets put down pretty far on the list. But here are a couple of quick updates (sorry, I know that's all I ever do anymore):

1) Waffles is continuing to do quite well. His legs are a bit of a ticking time bomb, but for the moment he appears to be happy and healthy.

2) Paul is feeling a fair bit better! We still need to get him to the doctor for his official diabetes test and because he has super swollen glands (nodes?) in his neck, but he feels quite a bit better and that's great!

3) I'm not feeling better.

4) We still have not gotten the rotten baseboard replaced or had mold testers in, but as of this week I will start writing letters and making calls to people higher up than the apartment's maintenance team cause that sure ain't working. In the meantime I found another moldy spot - our humidifier. Duh. We only use it periodically during the really dry times in winter becuase my eye doctor recommended it, but I think we will have to curtail that practice for a while despite the fact that the dry air in winter will give me eye infections and Paul nosebleeds. I wanted to just clean out the humidifier but the mold was deep within the motor and stuff so I don't think I A) could have and B) should have.

5) Sometime before October 1 we are getting roommates. I have been praying for a long time for a money miracle and, frankly, this was not what I had in mind...but it works! Paul's friends Gabe and Jenna will be moving in for a few months. Neither of us really are thrilled with the idea, but we are willing to do a lot of compromising for the extra money. The money will be sorely needed as the ER bills are going to be coming in anytime and also Paul's second student loan will be considered rehabilitated in October (YAY!) and that means that they will want a crapload of money every month (BOO!).

LOTS to do this week as we try to figure out what to do with The Stuff that lives in the spare room and 10 million other things and somehow Paul and I will find the energy to get it all done since it means that our money situation will hopefully improve.
