This is Paul on his way to work tonight. He is a Mystic Wood Elf...its something from his LARP. Its not as good as his other costume but apparently he scared the crap out of his co-workers last year so this year he toned it down. Note the unintentional Waffles (also a good blog name) at the bottom.
This is one of the many, many, many bugs that we have found in our apartment. I believe it is a silverfish, albeit the BIGGEST F-IN SILVERFISH ever.

I second the centipede. They're "good" to have around, as they eat other bugs. Imagine the bugs you'd have without a hunter around! Still, yecch.
Indeed, we stand corrected. The bug is a centipede. And, frankly, I don't give a DAMN if it eats other bugs because I NEVER want to have to see one ever again :)

Hoo boy, we get a lot of those centipedes in this house. It drives both me and Lucine crazy. Frank says they're good cuz they eat spiders and roaches (like thanks for putting that thought into my head). They're still gross and make my skin creepy crawly and when I have to go down in the basement (which I believe is where they're hiding before they come up here to scare me), I hike up my pant legs and make sure I got shoes on!!!
