A Lovely Weekend

I had SO many things that I wanted to write about over the past week and a half that I have been without a computer, but now it seems sort of boring and somehow redundant to write about them now. So for now, at least, I will not bother.

This weekend, though, was quite loverly. Thursday our power got cut off at 11 in the morning cause Paul hadn't paid the bill quite on time. I had no phone still and now no puter, so i went across the street to the leasing office and asked to borrow their phone to let Paul know. I left a message asking him to pay it and went back upstairs thinking 'its way to dark to work, so i will just have to lie on the couch with the flashlight and finish Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!" I read for an hour or so and then Paul showed up and said we could go out to lunch and to pay the bill and then i should hang out at work with him, cause in an hour or two the apartment was going to be hot as hades. So we got to spend a random weekday afternoon together.

We went and paid the bill and then got McDonalds and hung out at the shop. It was rather nice actually, the guys were in the back working and I had Paul's phone, so I sat up front and made all the phone calls that had been building up in my to do list. Then I went out and cleaned up Paul's car finally. He is nearly perfectly perfect in every way, but DAMN is he messy. His car was actually starting to smell ( I found out that this was due to an ancient chicken nugget and a bit of milk left in a carton :p). I cleaned out everything in the car. I filled up one of those sort of mini dumpsters on wheels with crap. So its nearly empty now and I told Paul that when he had some cash, he should just go and get it Simonized to get rid of all the pug hair and remnants of smell and stuff. Yay! Cross that off my list!

This power getting cut off thing also gave me a chance to talk to Paul about his/our bills. He has the money to pay them on time, he just...doesn't. And he gets very touchy about the subject. But we had a good talk. I told him that I was perfectly willing to take care of all of his bills for him. Organize them, pay them on time etc. I suggested that he set me up with access to his bank account and bill paying abilities for now, and then when I officially move down here, we can transfer everything to my name and start building me a good American credit record. He agreed that that was a good idea. So now almost all the bills are up to date and paid and filed for my reference. It feels good to me, and I think Paul is quite relieved of the responsibility :)

Friday night, Paul was exhausted so we did...something, that I can't remember, prolly watched a movie, then he crashed by shortly after 9. I cleaned while he slept. Surprise! OH! And I finished the bathroom!!! Hung some shelves, put out the new accessories that we have (the rest are in my 'wishlist cart' at Target.com). Scoured everything, organized everything. It looks SO GOOD! Even Paul had to admit that it felt good to have a clean bathroom. *beam* (Oh, and earlier this week I also finally cleaned both balconies - swept up all the leaves and spider webs and wiped down the rails and the doors, also a good feeling to have finally accomplished this)

Then Saturday, he played Anarchy Online while i watched some movies, then we did the Walmart thing, then i told that i was going to take HIM out to dinner for a change, so after much cajoling, we went to Chili's and had a really good meal. Then home, and he told me that he had purchased "What Dreams May Come' at Walmart cause he wanted me to know how he felt about me and that movie would show me. Oh my goodness. I have never cried so much in my life. It was SO sad and SO beautiful and SO wonderful. Afterwards we had an adorable little cuddling session and I cried and we were generally obnoxious. It was great :) Then early bed again for Paul.

And yesterday, we headed over to Cold Stone Creamery to have the best ice cream ever then got some, well, lots, of groceries. We were super good, got lots of healthy things and almost no crap at all! And Paul was happy at the grocery store cause we bought him some shrimp for supper and he had taken a Vicodin before we left cause his owie is hurting again, so he was happily in vicodin land again. He danced with me -twice- in the grocery store :p Then home to watch "The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen" (which was really good) while he ate shrimp and I ate my new obsession - Boursin cheese and crackers.

And now, I'm not sleeping again, of course, but I'm feeling okay, basking in my Eeyore pj's, listening to my little family snore. Later gators.

EDIT

I did Finish the new Harry Potter. It had started off slowly, so I took a long time reading it, but by half way through, I was smitten. It was SO SO SO SO good! if you haven't read it yet. Do so!! And now I'm half way through another good book - Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. its sort of a prequel to The Da Vinci Code. Also a must read.

Folks, I would never remove a comment simply because i didn't like or didn't agree with it. i deleted these two because they were from spammers, which makes me, incidentally, FURIOUS!

Oooo, Harry Potter! The big question around our house is: Whose side is he really on??
