Funny Girl

Paul saw me typing a few minutes ago and asked what I was doing. I replied that I was commenting, and he rolled his eyes at my blog love. I mentioned that I was commenting in response to another comment on my OWN BLOG, and he agreed that that was okay. He asked what the original post was and I asked him if he wanted to me to read it to him (he doesn't read this blog generally), and he said 'yes', so i read him my last entry "The New Diet". When I was done, he just sat there. I said 'um, it was supposed to be funny, I guess I missed the mark'.

"No, no, he said, its just girl funny."

"Girl funny?"

"Yeah, like that was, I guess, girl funny, and boy funny is to fart and then hold you under the covers."

"Okey."

"What's wrong?"

"I guess i just thought that I was a somewhat humourous person."

"You might be! In a girl way...at certain times."

Dang

I thought it was funny. But I'm a girl, too. Point out that maybe what he means is 'intelligent funny' and 'boy funny'.

Well, Reba, that's a good point, i spose. He sort of hurt my feelings though. its not like i think I'm laugh-out-loud funny, but I thought i might provide y'all with a chuckle now and then. On the same day that Paul and I had this conversation, his friend GC mentioned, in no reference to this situation that 'we all know that Jenn is a serious person". Apparently I do not project the same personality that I feel inside, cause mostly I feel like a raving sadly-comic loon.
