Should you be someone who has to deal with me in real life on a regular basis, you may want to read this link...

I have been 'depressed' since 15. At about 30, I got the official diagnosis of 'severe atypical depression combined with borderline personality disorder'. I take pills and they help a LOT! I have done hundreds of hours of research over the past nearly 2 decades trying to find help and understanding and have found lots in the past. But today I just found a short explanation of Atypical Depression that -finally- describes EXACTLY ( I cannot capitalize that enough ) what I feel like...

Its very validating.

If you are interested in understanding me as your friend or family member better, please take 3 minutes to read this link?

Externally validated, you say? Then you'll be happy to know I recall vividly how shockingly blue your eyes are.

Happy New Year Jenn!

Chris, that's possibly the nicest thing that anyone has ever said to me before. *beams and wipes a tear*

You know Jenn, all those years ago I had no idea that you were depressed. At the book store, you always seemed upbeat - well, except for the fact that we were working at a book store. :) You were confident (singing in a band for Bob's sake), outgoing, and extremely competent in all things. I know things could sometimes get one down at work (geez Louise, look at some of the people we had to put up with), but you coped as well as any other super human being. Now, where am I going with this? Right here: Jenn, I believe in you. I believe that one day, hopefully soon, you will have balance and be happy. What I can't believe is how the book store did not fall apart after we left.
