Chaos Ensues

You know, there's always something. First of all, Keef moved out officially this week. YAYAYAY!!! However, the natural gas was in his name and he had it shut off on Friday after 6, so we haven't been able to contact the natural gas people til today and they can't come set it up again til tomorrow. That means that we had all of Friday night til Tuesday evening without hot water, heat or a stove. And of course it has been colder here this weekend than it ever has since I've been visiting/living in Georgia. I finally got hold of them today but it took me more than an hour because there is something wrong with our phone (surprise!!) and you can't hit buttons when it says 'press 1 for english' or whatever. VERY FRUSTRATING!! But tomorrow they should come and set it up and then we can shower. Wheeeee!

Even more irritating. Our apartment rental office does not accept cash and because of one bounced cheque a long time ago, they don't accept cheques from us either. So, we have to pay with money orders. This month they have announced that they didn't get our money order. We have the receipt, but that is not good enough, they say they didn't get it. So now, we have been driving around trying to get a trace put on it. We finally got a phone number to call, but guess what!?!?! They have a menu so we can't get through!! paul went to a pay phone and they told him that he had to pay them $12 and send in the original and it would take 30 days. This is not good. If we send in the original receipt, we have no proof. Of course we will photocopy it, but that is often not good enough. Plus the apartment complex seems to be screwing with us on purpose (due to many factors which I shant go into atm). In the meantime, we have to come up with another $700+ to pay the complex cause they say that they didn't get the money. This is even though I put the money order in a Christmas envelope which the first person we talked to at the office said she even remembered opening! But now, no dice. They also don't fix any of our problems in the apartment, such as the fact that our bathroom sink hasn't had any water, not just low pressure, NO WATER for over a month. We are frustrated. it is always damn something :)

We're okay though, just pray/hope that it all works out and we're not out $700+ :p
