Blog blog blog blog blog. Blog? Blog! Blog blog blog.

The problem with me, you see, is not that I don't have enough to post. My mind is overflowing with things that I want to post, so is my notebook. I have so many dozens of ideas, stories, anecdotes, Paulisms, complaints that I can't ever decide on which one, thus I post nothing. Pretty sucky way to do business, huh?

A few minutes ago Paul left for his 7th day in a row at work, not serving fortunately, but doing the key/manager thing, and he was in such a good mood that he put on "Rocky Top" (his alma mater's song) and danced the most entertaining jig that I have ever seen. To make it even better, he was in his underwear. That inspired me to be in a good mood and thus post some blather. I'm also in a good mood because he SWEARS that we are going on a date tonight since we haven't in quite a while and he leaves tomorrow for his stupid LARP, so I'm gonna be alone for the weekend again. (And this time my parents are going away for the weekend too so I can't even call my mama. *wail*)

We did go out earlier this week, although it wasn't a date cause other people were there, to see Superman Returns. The whole preparation to go out was a bit of a fiasco that I won't go into, but in the end we got there safe and sound and on time, with Josh bouncing around like a 4 year old because he was so excited (he's a comic book geek of the highest degree). We were supposed to meet three of the guys' friends in the parking lot of the theatre. Two of them were there when we got there and we stood and talked with them for a bit. But, they had made the wise choice to booze it up beforehand so they weren't making tons of sense. The third friend wasn't there yet so Paul and Josh and I went to save seats and the other guys waited for their friend. We saved and saved and saved and they never showed up. About a half hour into the film, we stopped worrying about it. (Paul found out the next day that they had gone into the wrong theatre, one that was showing Superman Returns but started an hour earlier. So, they couldn't figure out why there was no backstory and then the movie ended after an hour.) 'I don't even LIKE Superman' was part of what I said leading up to the whole event, which was part of the fiasco-ism, but it turned out to be SO good! Like, really really entertaining. I have to admit, I kind of got a thrill when the John Williams music started. And this guy they got to play Superman? Wow. When they showed him near the beginning, in 3/4 view, Paul and I actually gasped and looked at each other in amazement because he is nearly a clone of Christopher Reeve. Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor - Perfection. And Parker Posey is in it too...love my Parker Posey. So, so great!! Go see it! And then wait with bated breath for Lady In The Water (M. Night Shyamalan's new one...hope it's better than The Village) on July 21! (And don't even get me started on Indiana Jones 4 which they now SWEAR is in preproduction and whould be out summer of 2008. Yeah, I'm sure, we haven't heard this one before)

Anyway. Regarding the blog name. I'm not absolutely set on 'Inexplicably', but I'm sure fond of it. As I read suggestions and listened to suggestions, I realized that part of why none of them were hitting the mark was that I like blog names that, in essence, mean nothing. A potential reader may never follow a link to, say, My2Sons.com, saying that they don't like mommy blogs. But the same potential reader may click on a link to, say, cromulence.com because it doesn't mean anything to them, even though it may be just as much of a mommy blog as the other. In other words, I don't want people to assume that my blog is about certain things due to the title, thus I may want to go for something that either means nothing in relation to the blog itself, or is even, in fact, a nonsense word. The blog names that I am most drawn to are one word and really don't mean very much. Thus, that is what I am going for. That being said, thanks for all the previous suggestions, some of which I liked a whole lot for other things. (Paul recently suggested Sporadic Monkey and I'm a big fan of that too, it might even be second in line behind Inexplicably)

So...there's some stuff. I'm still accepting new ideas for blog titles if you wanna help! Oh, and I've been going on the Blogger Help Group and stuff trying to find out how I can change the URL of my blog and have people redirected to it from the old URL and/or transfer all the posts from the old URL to the new one. I've gotten some helpful information and some that is not so helpful. But, for now, I think that I will change the name of the blog and leave the URL as is. I want to do it that way because I hope that within a few months or possibly years, I will be able to get my own website and I don't want to change everything over twice.

If you know me, call or email me this weekend to help me pass the time!

I too like "Sporadic Monkey". Or even "Spastic Monkey" sounds interesting and exciting. Anyway, I like your blog. Keep it up.

I can -hardly- wait to repeat that to Paul - 'stupid LARP is redundant'. It summed up my feelings so eloquently ;)
