New Names For The Blog

I really want to rename this blog, so yesterday I asked Paul for ideas. Without hesitation, these were his two suggestions:

My Husband Is A Big Stupid Bastard

Violent Tarragon

Make of this what you will. And please offer me suggestions of your own. I would like to change the name to something more unique (when you google 'crazy mennonite' you get 188 000 hits and I've plowed through the first 200 or so and none of them are me). Also, I would like the name to be less 'religious'. I guess that a lot of people who aren't Mennonite don't know what a Mennonite is, so they don't check out the blog. And the Mennonites who do look at this blog expect it to be about Mennonite-y stuff and it is not. I like that my blog is becoming more popular and I think a better name would help give it another boost.

I know a lot of you who read this and you are very witty people, so use that wit and suggest stuff!

How about something to do with giving up being a "Northern Gal" and learning to be a "Southern Woman"?

Northern Woman Gone South ? (but then again that's probably going to turn up a lot of google results, too)

I like the northern girl/southern girl thing. I'll have to ruminate on that a bit.

I am totally uncreative when it comes to things like that. I'm surprised I was able to come up with a name for MY OWN! hahaha. You'll think of something, I'm sure. Can't wait to find out what it is!!!

In regard to the north/south thing, I recall someone in Michigan who had a license plate that was something like COLDTEXN. Although I suppose calling your journal Hot Canadian might bring in the wrong element...

I wish I could help you, but my own blog is called 'Andrea version 4.5'. I may lurk about on your comment boards so I can steal suggestions :P

These are all great suggestions! None of them have hit the nail quite on the head yet, but they're all gathering together and will eventually form something cohesive. I'm particularly fond of the whole COLDTXN thing changed over to a Canadian version - especially since its SO BLOODY HOT HERE THAT I'M GONNA DIE! I also LOVE LOVE LOVE 'love has no borders but there are sure a lot of forms'. That won't be the title of the blog but it will definitely work its way into something that I write, or somewhere that I frequent.

Also, Andra do you remember some of the 'good names for a band' that you and I and Ryan used to think up? Reba, if you read this, maybe you can ask Ryan if he remembers any of them. It seems to me that some of them were just bizarre enough to be perfect as blog names. I only remember 'push for cheese' and 'valid owie'. ( I still love 'valid owie')(Also, MAN, that was a long time ago wasn't it, Andra. Wow)
