In Which Jenn Understands Herself A Little Better

I was watching the last game of the World Cup with Josh and he was very pleased when Italy won. I watched the celebrations for a bit, but then, as they inevitably do, they showed the losing goalie (keeper? I have no idea, I've been reading a lot about Quidditch) on his haunches in front of the net, watching the opposing team. He had that look; the one that only members of the losing team in a big match get. My heart nearly broke for him. I was genuinely and deeply sad for him and I suddenly realized that that is as much a reason that I don't like sports as any other. I feel great for the winners, but the losers...oh...it just kills me that they worked just as hard as the winning team and now they have to go home and deal with the fact that it was all for naught.

So there you have it - the reason that I don't like sports is because I feel badly for the losers.

I was going where Reba went. I don't feel THAT bad for them because even if they lost, they made an unreal amount of money anyway. And tho I don't watch soccer, they did overtime penalty shot crap in hockey and I think that is absolutely stupid. Thankfully they didn't do that in the Cup Finals.

Girls come out for sports talk, apparently ;) I was also going to say I feel badly for the losers as I have -been- a sports loser before. I laughed at what Bec said though, 'Poor poor sad athlete' :)
