We're both sick...just a cold, but you know how poopy that can be. Paul was his sickest two days ago and that day he had to work an eleven hour day. He's getting better now though and so am I, although I think I'm one or two days behind him so I'm still feeling pretty lethargic and sinusy. However, Paul bought NyQuil and let me tell ya; I had forgotten about the joys of dextromethorphan. Good Lord. The last two nights we have each taken a shot about a half hour before bed and I'm quite sure that if there had been music playing I would have been able to see it. It is the kind of wonderful where you still feel just as sick, but you no longer care.
Today, I'm feeling medium better, although kind of hung over due to the Green Stuff, but I have so many things to do that I have barely sat down yet. Paul's parents are arriving for a visit tomorrow and the next day I leave for Canada again so there are 64 000 things to do before all that happens. I was just endeavoring to wash the kitchen floor though, and I'm still so f***ed up on sickness and medicine that I promptly fell right on my ass on the floor. Fortunately, my ass is rather well padded so, like a toddler wearing diapers, it does not hurt that much when I fall. Nonetheless, I'm afraid that the whole apartment has gotten not much better than a lick and a promise and that's the best that I can do at this point.
So, this will probably be my last post for a bit again. I will try to keep this thing updated when I'm at a computer, but because I will be staying with my parents again and they live in the stone age, the updates will probably be somewhat few and far between.
Please, wish us luck and send up prayers for us again. I know I'm overburdening you all with requests for good wishes, but seriously, this is getting out of hand. My depression is creeping up on me like kudzu on an oak tree in the springtime (like that Southern metaphor?!) and I just want to be back here for good so I can begin this new life.
By way of making sure that you all know exactly what is happening, here is a thumbnail sketch. We had the visa appointment, all was well except for that we had only copies and not originals of the divorce decrees from our previous marriages. We explained that we could not get originals and they cared not. We have now acquired a certified copy of one and are waiting for the judge in the other one to have some time to get us a certified copy. Once we have those, I send them to the consulate and await a decision. Please don't ask if we are optimistic. We have no idea if this will be satisfactory or not. If it is, they send me my visa and I head back home here to ATL ASAP.
That's it for me for now.

OOOHHH Best of luck on this leg of the journey. So sorry you guys are both sick. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you and hope to be able to hear good news soon!
I'm gonna run over and do a post at the Hideaway! Lots of news.
Are you optomistic?
I've been sick too! I'm phlegmy and gross and I can't take anything for it :(
Nyquil is the only thing that works for me when I have a cold/flu. Sadly, I don't find it makes me see music (as cool as that would be). It knocks me out cold for 10-12 hours and I have to completely ready for bed before taking it as I'm dead asleep in approximately 30 seconds :)
Can't wait to see you! :D
