Oh Comcast, how I hate thee so...
...except for right at the moment because A) I'm reserving all my hatred for Budget Rent-A-Truck right now since two, TWO, of their CSR's accused me of lying yesterday and B) because we finally got a DVR box the other day. I mean, seriously, its 4 dollars more a month than the regular box and pretty much our entire world of entertainment is Blockbuster Total Access and TV so its a good investment for us. I scrolled through the listings when we got it and set it to record a few things that I thought I would enjoy and lo, I did enjoy them! This morning when I got up I scurried downstairs and checked 'my recordings' and found that my DVR had recorded Oprah, Dr. Phil, Columbo and Murder She Wrote. For just a moment there, I didn't hate the world.

Well, I'm pissed with my DVR because we were out of town last weekend and I set it to record the final episode of Survivor and then the reunion afterwards. And all I got was 4 minutes of the show and then 33 minutes of the reunion and that included commerials. so I don't know what I did wrong and nobody screwed around with the DVR or box while we were gone because you know, we're in the back room here where no one goes...so. any suggestions?
Oh, it's Mom2.
Welcome to the world of limited to no commercials through the DVR. I am hopelessly addicted to mine.
I dream of having one of those! Yet, if it weren't for commercials, I might never be motivated to get off my ass and clean/cook/etc.
I. Love. DVR.
That is all.
Our tv co-op just started offering one here in the last month or so. As tempting as it is, I'm afraid if we can set it up to record all the shows that sort of sound interesting then we will be spending all of our free time watching shows instead of doing other things. And we watch too much as it is, at least on the weekends.
No idea, Mom2, Sorry. Incidentally, the Survivor finale was the first thing I attempted to record and I missed the first 45 minutes too...maybe it was the fault of the show!
